The 13th Asia Outdoor Trade Show and 8th Asia Bike Trade Show ended on high note on July 1, 2018 in Nanjing International Expo Center. The 4-day shows occupied over 60,000 square meters, attracting 587 brands and 19,680 verified trade visitors from around the globe.



A highly efficient platform under one roof for product showcase, market expanding and trade -- both shows were expected to forge links and a win-win situation for the outdoor and cycling industries.



Benefiting from the improved business environment, the Chinese outdoor industry has witnessed a blowout in both scale and depth. Considering the consumption upgrade of Chinese middle class and 20-year of industry accumulation, the whole outdoor industry expected a recovery in 2 or 3 years.



“The whole outdoor industry has shown great concerns on pan-outdoor and traveling. Under current circumstances, we are holding a positive attitude towards the future. The efforts that are made by brands and distributors in product research, service and customer maintenance will be instrumental to the Chinese outdoor industry.” said Richard LI, general manager of the organizer, Nanjing Ningfei International Exhibition Co., Ltd.


According to LEE Young, show director of Asia Outdoor & Asia Bike, China concept became the hottest topic for the two shows. “Asia Outdoor Supply Chain Strategy Event has conducted in-depth discussions on the outdoor supply chain through product presentation, seminars and commercial match-making. The chain management plays a significant role in products and competitiveness, that’s why we launch the program accordingly.”




Themed areas and supporting programs such as Asia Outdoor Industry Award, Asia Outdoor Supply Chain Strategy Event, Running Village, Outdoor Traveling Theme Hall and Bouldering Competition added excitement and energy to the vibes that the shows always take pride in. Outdoor & Cycling Forum, Running Industry Forum and Outdoor Travel Forum gave attendees the insights on trends and advocacy issues.



COA (China Outdoor Association) released Chinese Outdoor Market Research 2017 on June 28, providing the latest data and analysis on the industry.



In order to clear away the communication barriers among upstream supply chains and show the mature supply chain integration capabilities of China's outdoor industry, Asia Outdoor Trade Show launched the "Asia Outdoor Supply Chain Strategy Event" to gather together fabrics companies, OEM visitors, apparel exhibitors, well-known designers and studios by setting up online and offline selection and on-site show area.



Among all 24 Asia Outdoor Industry Award winner products, 20 were designed and made in China. Products with intellectual details won attention and recognition from entire outdoor industry, media and attendees. The participants of the Award covered full product range, including apparel, shoes, backpack, mountaineering equipment, running products, accessories, camping gears, and material.



Meanwhile Asia Outdoor and Asia Bike strove to explore new opportunities. Outdoor & Cycling Forum, Running Industry Forum and Outdoor Travel Forum were expected to bring freshness and inspiration into both industries.



Other highly engaged programs included the efficient and precisely customized Matchmaking, which represented the commercial values of trade shows. Attendees saw the addition of 3 featured matchmaking conferences with Amazon, Suning and Sanfo.



Running related events, such as the Shining Run and 2018 UTO Powerful, My Team - runners group competition had won positive feedback from running industry.


Following years of development, Asia Outdoor and Asia Bike have improved with the outdoor and cycling industries. Organizers of both shows will embrace innovations on exhibition area planning, presentation form, knowledge sharing and interactions, providing attendees with a brand new experience.
